I know everyone is busy clearing up the snow, sleet and ice from Sunday. And today is a GREAT day to do so since it will be the WARMEST day of the week!!!

The next big story will be the cold this week. High temperatures in the teens and lows in the single digits to near zero!

And no one wants to hear this (except perhaps kids or snow plowing companies) but there is another potential snow storm either this coming weekend or Sunday into Monday. It is January after all!

A strong cold front will be crossing western New Jersey on Thursday. Rain from this system could start as early as late tonight or early Thursday morning. The bulk of the rain will be late morning into the afternoon. The worst of it should be over in the evening. Expect 1/2″ – 1″ of rain for the area. Some areas that receive downpours could receive more. As you can see from the graphic above, it will deposit a good amount of rain for the East coast.

Once this system passes we say goodbye to above normal temperatures for a while. Friday will be close to seasonable with highs in the low to mid 50’s. Saturday will be near 50. Then a below normal stretch starts on Sunday into next week with high temperatures only in the 40’s! It will feel cold but it is the second half of November after all.
