The Storm Prediction Center has placed all of western New Jersey in a slight risk of severe weather today. The timeframe for this should me from mid-afternoon into the evening.

With the potential for more rain, the entire area is also under a Flash Flood Watch thru late tonight.

Amounts of rain will depend on whether or not you receive a heavy downpour as has been the case all week. Some areas receive only a little rain and others get flash floods. Most areas should receive at least another 1/4 – 1/2″ of rain today, much more if you receive a downpour/thunderstorm.

We will get a break in the weather starting Friday afternoon. There could be a leftover shower Friday morning then skies should clear and less humid and more sunshine should return to the area. It will be windy on Friday and breezy on Saturday to greet the first full weekend of Summer 2019!

Next week the heat and humidity return with summer like weather that includes the potential for a typical afternoon/evening thundershower in spots.
