In the past 24 hours we picked up 1.6” of snow from yesterday’s fast moving clipper. This included .3” of snow overnight from a snow shower that passed thru the area.
Tonight is shaping up to be the coldest night of the year and season so far.
A reinforcing shot of cold air will arrive today. This will probably be accompanied by some snow showers or even snow squalls. These could put down a dusting to an inch or so in local spots. Best time for this is mid-day into the afternoon. Wednesday evening and Thursday morning will feature low temperatures in the lower single digits in western new jersey area.
The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory from 7 pm tonight until Thursday morning.
Thursday will continue to be a cold winter day with high temperatures not being very high: only in the upper teens!
Winter weather will continue into the weekend with the possibility of breaking freezing Sunday or Monday.
