Chilly Friday morning will lead to a nice afternoon with light winds out of the south with a high near or just above 40’s. This sets the stage for a very nice Saturday with high in the low to mid 50’s! Clouds will increase later in the day Saturday and some rain will move in and last into early Sunday morning. Look for no more than 1/4″ rain. Sunday the rain should end by mid morning and still see temperatures in the 50’s before some colder weather arrives on Monday.
The yellow on the 5 day forecast above is a flood watch that is still in effect for places along the Delaware river. There is a lot of river ice in the river further to the north near Shawnee that is clogging up the river and causing water levels to rise.
The next chance of precipitation will be late Monday into Tuesday morning. It looks to be a weakening system that will be transferring its energy to another storm off shore. We have seen this several times this winter. This could give us a period of light snow over night Monday into Tuesday morning. So the Tuesday morning commute will need to be monitored.
I have a busy weekend and may not be able to update again until Sunday evening at the earliest. Have a great weekend!
