I’m traveling on business so not as much time to update.
The clipper underperformed yesterday. Western new jersey generally received 1/4 to 1/2″ of snow fall with locally more. More snow fell (1-2″) in southern NJ closer to the shore where the clipper strengthened.
All thoughts are turning to the weekend at this point. A coastal storm will move up the coast and impact us late Friday night into Saturday. How far up will it travel? How warm will it get here? How much precipitation? All good questions at this point. Several days ago the models were split if the storm would make it up this far north. That appears to be a near lock. Maybe too much so as now warmer air from the Atlantic appears to push the rain/snow line inland somewhat. How far and for how long? More good questions.
My preliminary thoughts at this time for western new jersey are this: snow developing late Friday night into Saturday. Snow may mix with or changeover briefly to rain at some point on Saturday before changing back to snow before ending. At this point I’m thinking 3-6″potential.
More updates as they develop and my time permits.
