The first round of rain moved in and out of our area this morning. Instead of completely moving out the bottom half is pivoting further west and has started to impact western New Jersey again. I was thinking we would get into the break you see to the west but not yet! This looks to be another hour or two worth of light to moderate rain. So far Stewartsville has received close to 1/2.” And the winds are breezy this morning with a peak gust to 28 mph so far.
High temperature records have already been broken for some locations in and around western New Jersey this Friday morning. There is also no shortage of rain as seen in the radar image above. But the rain will not be continuous today but rather periods of rain. AS of 8 am Stewartsville received 0.15″ of rain. We should receive 1-2″ total area wide.
A wider look at the radar for the eastern half of the country shows three separate areas of rain. One is over us at the moment then there is a break then more rain in western PA. The another break with more rain in western OH and more to the south.
Enjoy the warm weather today as temperatures will fall sharply this time tomorrow.
