* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
CONNECTICUT
MASSACHUSETTS
NORTHERN NEW JERSEY
CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST NEW YORK
NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA
RHODE ISLAND
SOUTHERN VERMONT
COASTAL WATERS
* EFFECTIVE THIS MONDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FROM 1205 PM UNTIL
800 PM EDT.
* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
SCATTERED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS TO 70 MPH LIKELY
ISOLATED LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 1.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
SUMMARY...THUNDERSTORMS ARE INTENSIFYING OVER CENTRAL NY/PA. THESE
STORMS WILL TRACK EASTWARD ACROSS THE WATCH AREA THIS
AFTERNOON...POSING A THREAT OF LOCALLY DAMAGING WIND GUSTS.
THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 155
STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 20 MILES NORTHEAST OF
GLENS FALLS NEW YORK TO 20 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST OF NEWARK NEW
