The Storms Prediction Center has expended the potential for severe weather this afternoon and western New Jersey is right in the center.
Look for thunderstorms to develop as early as 2pm but more likely from 4-8 pm. They should arrive from the NW and move to the SE.
Any thunderstorms that do develop and move over your area have the potential for downpours which could cause flash flooding, dangerous lightning and even small hail.
Hot and humid conditions will prevail today with temperatures in the low 90’s and uncomfortable humidity. Cooler and more comfortable weather is in store for Sunday and Monday.
